The Online Master of Science in Clinical Informatics & Patient-Centered Technologies teaches health care professionals about the technology used in clinical settings and how these tools can improve patient care. Our program prepares graduates for rewarding careers in the health care industry, public health organizations, biomedical research and government agencies.

The field of clinical informatics encompasses many disciplines, and you’ll study a range of topics, including nursing informatics, informatics leadership, telehealth and patient-centered technology. You’ll learn how to use information technology to support, evaluate and improve clinical work and patient care.

You can attend full time and complete your master’s degree in as little as 15 months or attend part time and finish in two years. Most of our students attend part time while working at their current jobs.

All courses in the CIPCT program are taught online.

To supplement online instruction, the program also offers an annual weekend meeting to help cultivate connections with your classmates and instructors. Called the Annual Meeting, this gathering usually takes place the weekend before autumn quarter at the University of Washington in Seattle. Except for this annual weekend, which we strongly encourage you to attend, you can complete the entire CIPCT program remotely.
