The Department of Biomedical Informatics (DBMI), in the College of Medicine at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences, develops computational tools to assess and manage medical and public health information for patient care and research programs. The DBMI focuses on advanced medical information technologies.
The primary objective of the master’s program is to increase the knowledge, skills and ability to apply biomedical informatics principles and methods within an area of the clinical practice of medicine, working in an interdisciplinary team.
