The Veterans Health Administration is pleased to offer a virtual AMIA 10x10 program entitled the “VA Health Informatics Certificate Program (VA AMIA 10x10)."

The content of the program represents a broad survey of the field of Health Informatics. The course is meant to represent the domain of Health Informatics in a general sense, not specific to any particular subspecialty (e.g. Pharmacy Informatics, Nursing Informatics, Public Health Informatics).

The primary objectives of the VA Health Informatics Certificate Program are to:

  • Explore how technology can be used to improve health care delivery in health care organizations and in public health.
  • Acquire depth and breadth of knowledge of the principles of health informatics.
  • Provide a conceptual and theoretical framework of the design, development, implementation, and optimization of health information systems and health informatics services.

All VA staff are eligible to participate.  Enrollment is limited.  Priority consideration will be given to staff currently in Health Informatics leadership roles.
