Identifying Asthma Exacerbations

In the United States alone, more than 6 million children have asthma. That’s why informaticians recently explored how to make an asthmatic disease prognosis through precision medicine methods.

In a published the Journal of the American Medical Informatics Association article, authors share how looking at a genome-by-environment interaction among kids with asthma can predict asthmatic exacerbations.

Why informatics? So, we can improve effective treatment decisions for children with asthma.
