AMIA provides informatics professionals—anyone who connects health data, technology, and people—with CME and CE opportunities to enhance personal professional knowledge and know-how in informatics. A variety of programs are geared to education needs of CMIOs, nurse informaticians, TBI and CRI professionals, among many other clinicians and business professionals. Online coursework is also available on a variety of informatics topics through AMIA’s unique 10 X 10 program. Learning opportunities are further advanced by AMIA’s Academic Forum and Corporate Members—distinctive members who institutionalize the advancement of informatics.
AMIA also provides members with opportunity to network in the field, meet mentors and collaborators, and find like-minded partners. In addition, members can find leadership opportunities on AMIA committees, task forces, and working groups. The most experienced AMIA leaders find their way into leadership roles on AMIA’s Board of Directors.
