Every year, the AMIA Annual Symposium features some of the organization's best and brightest students and their ideas with the annual Student Design Challenge (SDC). This year's submission deadline is rapidly approaching (June 30). The Student Working Group is hosting a webinar entitled, "Student Design Challenge: Words of Wisdom" to help students considering putting together a submission to make it the most successful possible. Webinar speakers feature past SDC finalists and winners, as well as the input of one of the SDC judges, Dr. Madhu Reddy. We hope you will join us for what will be a timely and informative webinar!

Learning Objectives

After participating in this activity, the learner should be better able to:

  • Describe the components of a successful Student Design Challenge (SDC) submission
  • Understand the criteria by which SDC judges evaluate submissions

The speakers are a combination of past Student Design Challenge finalists and winners, and one of the SDC judges, Dr. Madhu Reddy. Speakers hail from the University of Washington, University of Texas Health Science Campus, Northwestern University, and Oregon Health & Science University. The webinar will be hosted by Julie Doberne, AMIA Student Working Group Chair.
