Roper St. Francis Healthcare, a South Carolina-based health system spanning seven counties, is using analytics and geospatial capabilities to take a ‘neighborhood’ approach to health care. Through using advanced technology, Roper St. Francis has applied insights from layering clinical, financial AND geographic data.

Jeanne Ballard, MD, FACOG is the Chief Medical Information Officer for Roper St. Francis (RSF) Healthcare. She is subspecialty board certified in Clinical Informatics by the American Board of Preventive Medicine and board certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology.  She completed a Medical Informatics and Health Services Research Fellowship at the Regenstrief Institute in Indianapolis, Indiana and graduated Summa Cum Laude with a master’s degree in Medical Informatics from Indiana University. She is a graduate of the Ohio State University College of Medicine and completed her residency in obstetrics and gynecology at Ohio State in 1995.

Josh Hurwitz is the Lead Data Warehouse Analyst for Roper St. Francis (RSF) Healthcare.  He completed a master’s degree in Applied Mathematics from the University of Florida in 2014 and received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Mathematics from the University of Florida in 2012. Josh is the senior member of the RSF Analytics team and is currently involved in all aspects of Cerner HealtheIntent implementation and analytical reporting.
