Nursing Informatics at University of Alabama School of Nursing

UAB offers a distance accessible Master’s degree program in Nursing Informatics consisting of 40 total credit hours broken down into 36 hours of didactic and 4 hours of clinical providing 210 practicum contact hours.
This program offers core informatics content examining foundations of computer science, information science, and nursing science taught by operationally and theoretically trained informatics faculty.  In addition, students are grounded in research, evidence based practice, policy,  and statistical knowledge and skills and advanced nursing practice professional role development, management and leadership. Students in this program  take some coursework with interdisciplinary colleagues which provides them with a broad world view.
