Master of Science in Health Informatics at University of Alabama

Based on the needs of healthcare CIOs, UAB’s MS in Health Informatics curriculum integrates the domains of information and communication technology, the healthcare delivery process, and leadership and management principles.  In their second year, students specialize in one of three tracks in User Experience, Data Analytics or HIM Advanced Practice.  The Graduate Certificate in Clinical Informatics provides a high-quality, rigorous educational forum whereby practicing clinicians may develop a broad understanding of the strategic application of clinical and administrative information systems in the US healthcare delivery system, the data contained within these systems, and the people and processes required to enable the triple aim in healthcare.
