Paul Fu, Jr., MD, MPH, FAAP, is the Chief Medical Information Officer at Los Angeles County Harbor-UCLA Medical Center, Clinical Professor of Pediatrics at David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA, and Adjunct Professor of Health Policy and Management at the UCLA Fielding School of Public Health. He is a practicing pediatric hospitalist and Division Chief for Pediatric Hospital Medicine at Harbor-UCLA. His informatics activities and research focuses upon applied clinical and public health informatics, specifically data and information models and architectures to support HIT-enabled evidence-based care delivery. Dr. Fu teaches graduate students through an introductory course on biomedical informatics (HPM 401) and another on ehealth and healthcare innovation (HPM 430) at the UCLA Fielding School of Public Health, as well as medical students and pediatric residents. He received his MD from Boston University School of Medicine, MPH in Health Services from UCLA, and a BA from Boston University.
