AMIA2012 Call for Participation
AMIA has released information about submissions for the 2012 meeting in Chicago November 3 - November 7.
In addition to previous submission types, there are several new categories of submission: One-page podium abstracts, State of the practice in informatics, Tutorials, and A special category for AMIA’s Working Groups.

MIE 2012 - extension of deadline to 30.1.2012

The deadline for submission of papers and posters to the 24th European Medical Informatics Conference - MIE2012 - in Pisa, August 26th -29th, 2012 has been extended from 15.01.2012 to 30.01.2012 23:59 UTC.
We invite you to submit a broad range of contributions related to the latest achievements in eHealth, biomedical and health informatics. The specific focus for the MIE2012 conference is the various roles of eHealth in pursuing benefits seen in quality of life for patients, health-care personnel, citizens and the society.
We encourage you to submit a contribution about methodologies and applications, successful stories or lessons learned from not so successful projects in the health-care domain.

Theme: Quality of Life through Quality of Information, offering the challenge to contributors to share experiences in the field of Medical and Health Informatics.
- Based on the theme, three main streams have been identified in the Conference programme:
- Papers, Posters, Panels, Workshops, Short Communications, and Tutorials
- 'Village of the Future' which will try to mash-up all kind of developments to empower citizens, patients and care providers.
- Commercial stream for Industrial and SME participants with the exhibition and other contributions.
- The Call for Papers: You have until
- January 15th to submit Papers and Posters that will be indexed in MEDLINE
- March 1st to submit Workshops, Panels, Short Communications, and Tutorials
- April 15th for 'Village of the future' proposals.
