Dana Alexander brings more than 20 years of healthcare system and CNO/CEO experience to GE Healthcare IT Solutions. Ms. Alexander is passionate about raising the voice and stature of nursing in the marketplace and industry groups, as nurses are primary stakeholders to achieving quality and patient safety goals. As Chief Nursing Officer, she guides nursing strategy across all GE Healthcare businesses to achieve the company's vision of Transforming Healthcare and creating High Performance Healthcare Organizations. Ms Alexander’s focus is to ensure that GE’s solutions and technologies effectively support nursing priorities and future patient care delivery. She leverages both professional nursing practice knowledge and health system operational experience to develop strategic planning initiatives and redesign business processes.
As an advocate for re-tooling U.S healthcare to achieve High Performance Healthcare, Ms Alexander is engaged with break-through initiatives to support new models of care across care settings to include engaging patients as partners in their care. Her top initiatives include 1) developing sound product strategies that reflect regulatory and industry standards, such as National Quality Forum, Joint Commission, CMS and Meaningful Use, and 2) increasing GE Healthcare’s participation in nursing and nursing informatics professional associations related to transforming care and how technology supports that transformation.

Mark Dente, MD, Chief Medical Informatics Officer, GE Healthcare
Mark Dente, MD is Chief Medical Informatics Officer (CMIO) for GE Healthcare IT, a $1.4 billion segment of GE Healthcare. GE Healthcare IT (HCIT) is a global leader in delivering information technology solutions that support high-quality and cost-effective care through business, clinical and imaging applications covering settings from the physician office to the integrated delivery network.
Dr. Dente started his informatics career over 18 years ago, focusing on new approaches to increase patient safety, drive physician adoption of technology, and create new methods to implement evidence-based medicine.
As CMIO, his global responsibilities include: applying domain expertise in informatics to drive Comparative Effectiveness Research, strategic evaluation of emerging technologies for the healthcare portfolio, and developing and delivering GE’s clinical informatics research direction and messaging globally.
Prior to joining GE, Dr. Dente served as President of MBS Service Inc, a consulting company providing international executive healthcare management services. Earlier in his career, he served as Vice President and Chief Medical Officer for Wang Healthcare Information Systems, and led that company’s design of an ambulatory electronic medical record.
As a physician executive, Dr. Dente continues to maintain close academic, government and industry contacts. He is currently serving on the Advisory Council to the Board of Directors of HL7 and is passionate about driving GE’s "Early Health – Personalized Medicine" initiative at the national and international level.
Dr. Dente received his M.D from Boston University’s School of Medicine. He and his family live in Wellesley, Massachusetts.
