Former AMIA Board Member Joins Siemens as CMIO

AMIA member J. Marc Overhage, MD, PhD, FACMI, was appointed Chief Medical Informatics Officer of the Siemens Health Services business unit. In this position, Dr. Overhage will be responsible for clinical informatics and for advising on long-term product strategies. Before being hired by Siemens, Dr. Overhage founded the Indiana Health Information Exchange where he serves as president and CEO. He's also the Director of medical informatics at the Regenstrief Institute in Indianapolis. Dr. Overhage will start his new position March 28. To read more, click here.
