AMIA’99 ACMI Events

ACMI was formed in 1984 as an honorary organization to recognize the contributions of leaders in the science and application of medical informatics. As part of the consolidation of the American Association for Medical Systems and Informatics (AAMSI), ACMI, and the Symposium on Computer Applications in Medical Care (SCAMC), ACMI became the fellowship component of AMIA. Individuals are nominated for membership by members of ACMI, and several new members are elected to ACMI each year. New members are inducted into ACMI at the AMIA Annual Symposium. ACMI now has nearly 200 Fellows and International Associates.

ACMI "Meet the Experts"”

Come meet the experts, who are the Fellows of the American College of Medical Informatics (ACMI)! These outstanding leaders will describe their recent activities, or discuss yours, in a small group casual setting. This is an opportunity to ask those special questions you may have that could not be addressed in the more formal presentations.
