Policy for receiving Press Pass for AMIA Annual Symposium
The American Medical Informatics Association, (AMIA) encourages media to attend its Annual Meeting and/or its Spring Congress. Members of the press have the opportunity to participate in workshops, interview key AMIA individuals, and inform communities of the innovations presented by AMIA at these events.
We would prefer members of the press contact AMIA for Press Passes prior to the meeting. To ensure the safety and security of our registrants Press Passes will be given only to those who comply with the following:
- The individual must officially represent a publication with intent to publish coverage of the AMIA Annual Symposium and/or Spring Congress.
- The individual must show evidence of representation by one of the following:
- A written letter from the Editor/Chief of media source identifying name of reporter to be covering AMIA Annual Symposium/Spring Congress./OR
- A pre-convention phone discussion with the AMIA Manager of Communications regarding relevant information needed to obtain pass.
- A completed Press Registration Form must be submitted with publication information.
