Early Bird Rates
AMIA members are offered an exclusive opportunity to register early for the conference and take advantage of a reduced registration fee. The registration form and accompanying payment must be postmarked by, or on-line registration dated by, midnight on August 9, 2002 to receive early bird rates and priority tutorial registration. Non-members may also register for the Symposium and tutorials during the early bird period, and qualify for the special discounted member early bird rate if they become a member at the same time they register for the Symposium.
Full Registration
Full registration fees for members, nonmembers, and students cover all the events except pre-conference tutorials (for which there are separate registration fees) and selected social events that are by invitation only.

The following two categories of students are eligible for student registration rates:
- Pre-professional: Current full-time undergraduate and graduate students who do not yet have a doctoral degree in any field.

Author Registration
Reduced rates are available to the primary author of each paper, theater-style demonstration, case-study poster presentation, and poster. All panel presenters are eligible for these rates. Tutorial presenters do not qualify for these rates unless they also qualify as a presenter as described here.
Daily Registration
Registrants who register for a single day may attend all programs and events on the day for which they are registered. Registrants who wish to attend an event or program on another day must register for that additional day.
Expo Center Only Registration
Exposition center only registration covers one-day attendance only at activities held in the exhibit hall, which includes exhibits, poster sessions, career expo, and the welcome reception. Exposition center only registrants are not able to attend scientific program sessions, the opening or closing session, or any other events held outside of the exhibit hall.

All attendees at any program session, the opening session, or the closing session must be registered either for the full conference, or as a daily registrant specifically for the day of an activity they are attending, and MUST show their badge for entrance. Tutorial attendees may attend only those tutorials for which they are registered.

Payment must be in US currency and payable through a US bank. Accepted forms of payment include personal or company check, money order, VISA, MasterCard, or American Express. Each full, author, and student registrant will receive a copy of the 2002 Annual Symposium Proceedings on CD-ROM. In addition, registrants may purchase one print copy of the 2002 Proceedings at a special attendee discount price of $45. (Additional copies may be purchased at the regular purchase price.) Additional copies of the CD-ROM may be purchased for $75.
