Exposition Center-Exhibits, Posters, and Career Expo 2000 Exhibits Our exhibitors represent an important resource to AMIA members and provide valuable support for the Annual Symposium. Attendees are encouraged to spend time viewing many of the latest health information technology products and services available. Here are some of the exhibitors that signed up early for AMIA 2000; be sure to monitor the AMIA web site for names of additional exhibitors as they come on board. An exposition guide that will contain the final list of exhibitors as well as an exhibit hall map, will be included with the on-site registration materials.

3M HEALTH INFORMATION SYSTEMS Poster Sessions Poster sessions represent an important venue for AMIA members to present in-progress and recently concluded research, to demonstrate new and evolving products, and to provide a glimpse into the applied medical informatics future. The poster sessions have something for everyone. Attendees go home with plenty of ideas to consider when designing and carrying out their own investigations, further refining their own systems, or developing their training and educational programs. This year there will be more than 200 different posters divided between two sessions in the exposition center-Monday and Tuesday afternoons from 3:30 PM to 5:30 PM. The Best Poster Award will be presented at the AMIA 2000 closing session on Wednesday. Career Expo 2000 Don't forget to stop by Career Expo 2000 in the exposition center. Career Expo will target more than 2,000 health care professionals including 300 or more students pursuing careers in medical informatics and related disciplines. Representatives from associations, corporations, hospitals, state and federal agencies, universities and medical schools will be available to share information about their organizations and present valuable information on career and educational opportunities, industry trends and required skills.
