2009 Academic Forum Annual Conference

The goals of the 3rd Annual AMIA Academic Forum Conference were to articulate the opportunities in the ARRA to transform the practice of healthcare through the infusion of informatics knowledge and skills, develop a plan to create an ongoing, long term and flexible infrastructure for informatics education and training through AMIA by showcasing the talent and expertise of its member institutions, identify near-term opportunities for biomedical and health informatics training programs to capitalize on the national momentum toward HIT workforce training, identify and address challenges, both academic and logistically, that may limit the ability of Forum members to respond fully to the opportunities afforded by ARRA.
