Informatics, Knowledge, and Evidence Based Practice

AMIA's 2008 Health Policy Meeting AMIA convened the 2008 Health Policy Conference to propel and focus discussions about informatics-enabled evidenced based care, clinical research, and knowledge management. The conference focused on Informatics, Knowledge, and Evidence Based Practice. We considered and built on the recent work Institute of Medicine (IOM) publications including "The Learning Healthcare System" and "Knowing What Works in Health Care: a Roadmap for the Nation" as well as recent discussions by the Blue Ridge Academic Health Group and the AMIA Strategic Academic Leadership Council (ASLC).
