Job Descriptions
RTitle: SuperUser
Purpose: Support system(s) in use at a departmental level or for a defined group of users. Emphasis is on assisting users with functionality, procedural issues and basic trouble shooting.
Selection: Selected by the System Administrator in coordination with the Department's Supervisor or Manager, If none selected then the Systems Administrator will assume this responsibility
Reporting: Generally reports to a department supervisor or manager and has a working relationship with the System Administrator and / or User Coordinators

Training: Education
Essential Functions:
- Provide direct support (Basic technical, systems functionality) to system users within a defined work area.
- Assist users with issues related to system/institutional policy.
- Basic troubleshooting, (i.e. is PC connected to network, is system plugged in, etc.).
- Assist Systems Administrators and/or User Coordinators with troubleshooting by reporting issues to IS.
- Assist in making procedural decisions related to software functionality (i.e. downtime, screen changes, and development of new process).
- Assist in the training of users.

- Ability to communicate effectively with others.
- Motivated individual who is willing to take on additional responsibility.
- Ability to teach others, even under stressful situations.
- High understanding and in-depth knowledge level of application functions.
- Good deductive reasoning and multitasking ability.
Additional Requirements:
- Time involved as a SuperUser may increase each time a new system(s) is implemented.
