The purpose of the AMIA Advancement (ADV) Committee is to ensure the effective and appropriate involvement of AMIA members in governance and non-governance leadership activities, such as those associated with Councils, Working Groups, and Task Forces.
Duties and Responsibilities
The principal responsibilities and functions of the Committee are as follows:
- Liaise with AMIA's Councils, Working Groups, and Task Forces to identify, coordinate, and harmonize leadership needs and requirements.
- Develop outreach, engagement, and communications plans to promote opportunities for members to participate in non-governance leadership activities, as identified per item (1).
- Develop and deliver educational and training materials to assist AMIA members in understanding and succeeding in governance and non-governance leadership roles.
