The OHSU Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) program aims to train future researchers, academics, and leaders in health and clinical informatics (HCIN). Individuals pursue a course of study that begins with a core curriculum of biomedical informatics, health and biomedicine, computational and data sciences, and research methods. This is followed by a tailored curriculum devoted to methods on the student’s research interests, in-depth study in a cognate area, and the opportunity for mentored teaching. The program culminates in a doctoral dissertation.
