UPMC Presbyterian is recruiting for a full-time Informatics Nurse to oversee the investigation, development, and implementation of new technology as it relates to clinical practice and serving as a liaison between the clinical and the technical personnel.  Required to thoroughly analyze pre-innovation workflow and the impact new innovations may have on all affected clinicians and their work flow, post-implementation. Furthermore, the Informatics Nurse will participate in the implementation of new technologies in order to facilitate process improvement.

Basic Qualifications:

- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing- 5 years acute care nursing experience required- Bachelor’s degree or MSN preferred (Informatics degree or post graduate certificate; clinical masters desirable if not informatics degree

- Electronic Health Record (EHR) experience as a clinical user is preferred - Cerner EHR experience is preferred - Previous Informatics Nursing experience is preferred, project management experience is also preferred for this position

- Current licensure as a Registered Professional Nurse is required- Certification in Nursing Informatics (ANCC - Nursing Informatics, or HIMSS/CPHIMS - Certified Associates in Health Information & Management Systems or PMI - Project Management certification is also preferred)
