Computer Scientist, Next Gen Sequencing

The Next Gen Sequencing Computer Scientist will lead a growing team of software engineers and database experts in the continuing development of Next Gen sequencing data pipelines and analysis. The successful candidate will need to possess significant leadership skills as well as Next Gen experience.

Responsibilities:

• Develop data analysis pipelines for Next Gen sequencing using Illumina sequencing technology.
• Design, create, implement, and maintain software systems including but not limited to sequence alignment, variant calling, copy number variant detection, De novo assembly, and sequence interpretation.
• Provide guidance and leadership to a rapidly growing team of informaticians.

Postion Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a biomedical field is required. A Master's degree or PhD is preferred.
• A minimum of two years experience in working with Next Gen Sequencing data.
