Role Overview
This Physician Executive is responsible for ensuring the quality and effectiveness of clinical care information systems across the Aspirus system. Working in coordination with the Chief Information Officer, you will set the strategic direction for clinical systems and improve physician efficiency through optimization of the Epic Electronic Health Record. You will serve as a liaison, facilitator, and communicator with department chairs, Chief Medical Officer, Chief Clinical Integration Officer, Medical Staff, physician leaders and physician advisory committees to involve physicians in the project design, prioritization, implementation, training and problem resolution related to clinical systems.

Experience and Qualifications
- Knowledge of medical standards, practices and procedures normally acquired through program accepted by the medical staff
- Licensed by the State of Wisconsin to practice medicine
- Board Certification in a clinical specialty necessary
- Experience as a practicing physician and thorough knowledge of the various components of a health care system
- Experience with the implementation and use of an Electronic Health Record, Epic system preferred, and an overall understanding of project management
- Certification, documented CME or other education specifically in clinical informatics or willingness to pursue
- Proven experience driving change
- Proven ability to lead system wide initiatives from inception to implementation
- Experience working in a health care environment with multiple entities
