HIT@AMIA 2011
Calling all frontline physicians, nurses, administrators and health care information technology (HIT) experts who are leading hospitals and practices into a new era of expanded HIT implementation and use! Find an array of pre-conference workshops and tutorials, as well as conference expert panels, papers and posters and special sessions on topics pertinent to practitioners at AMIA’s 35th Annual Symposium on Biomedical and Health Informatics, Oct. 22-26, 2011, in Washington, DC.
AMIA is the thought leader in the biomedical informatics research arena. What you may not know is that many AMIA members have decades of hands-on knowledge and experience in HIT evaluation and selection, implementation, governance, management, and health information reporting and exchange in practices and hospitals of all sizes. This is why AMIA and members are at the forefront of national HIT standards and on national policy committees, and why their input continues to be requested by industry and government, including the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, Office of the National Coordinator for HIT.
