Ralph R. Grams is a Professor of Pathology at the University of Florida and is Director of the Medical Systems Group. He has been involved in the creation of laboratory and hospital information systems and initiated the Journal of Medical Systems in 1977. Since 1979, he has participated in the construction of a medical database for astronauts in conjunction with an ongoing NASA development program in the Biomedical Office at the Kennedy Space Center in Florida.
