Which AMIA-OHSU 2007 10x10 course is right for me?
There are three offerings of the AMIA-OHSU in early 2007 that have been publicized in different venues. If you are interested in one, how should you decide which one to pursue?
Two of the offerings are focused on specific audiences. The first of these is a partnership with the American College of Physicians (ACP), the specialty society for internal medicine. This offering of the course is oriented toward internal medicine physicians. Its in-person session at the end of the course coincides with the ACP Annual Session (Internal Medicine 2007) that takes place in San Diego and will occur on April 18, 2007. While the curriculum will be essentially the same as the other offerings, those taking the course will mostly be internists and those in training to become internists. However, the course is open to anyone.
The second focused offering is with the Scottsdale Institute, a non-profit association that supports collaboration and networking among leading healthcare organizations regarding IT strategy, deployment, adoption, and benefits realization. This offering of the course is limited to those whose institutions are members of the Scottsdale Institute. While the curriculum will be the same as the general AMIA offering, the on-line discussion for this section of the course will be limited to Scottsdale members. The in-person for this offering will take place at the AMIA Spring Congress on May 21, 2007.
The third offering of the AMIA-OHSU 10x10 course is a general offering open to anyone. Its in-person will also take place at the AMIA Spring Congress on May 21, 2007. This offering is suitable for all interested individuals.
